Ever had a moment in life when your hunger just fades away because a dish took almost 2 hours to prepare? Or when you are ready to eat but not ready to spend hours cooking? Or when your friends are over at your place and you have nothing to feed them? 

Yes? Well, now these worries can get out of your thought process. I was going through the Men’s Journal and I was struck with the idea to give you 6 quick and easy recipes that will take you no more than 15 minutes to prepare.

So, let’s begin!

Feta, Bean and Beetroot Salad

If you are someone who is planning on cutting down on your meat consumption this is the salad for you. Read out the name. That’s all the ingredients you need. Feta, Beans and Beetroot. 

Take some marinated Feta, Beans (according to your preference) and sliced or diced beetroot in a bowl (large or small depending on your hunger). Season it with some salt, pepper and oregano. Mix it into a homogenous mixture. And that’s it. Your Feta, Beans and Beetroot Salad is ready to serve.

You can have it as it is or eat it with some pita bread or crackers. Also, if you are not a fan of beans, try using some other grain. Or replace beetroot with spinach. You can play with this recipe and make it your own.

Salmon Fajitas

Whether you are looking for a snack, lunch or dinner, Salmon is a great protein to incorporate in your diet. 

Begin by marinating your salmon fillets. Take a ziplock bag and add olive oil, lime juice,  minced garlic, cumin powder, salt, pepper and salmon and mix to coat every piece evenly. Place it in the fridge and move onto your vegetables. Add some oil in a pan and saute thinly sliced bell peppers and onions. Once they are cooked, take another pan and saute your marinated salmon for 3 to 4 minutes. Place everything on a warm tortilla and enjoy with fresh guacamole.  

Chickpeas With Poached Eggs

Chickpeas, on its own, can be delicious and also help you with reaching the necessary nutritional value. But can you make it more delicious and healthy? Yes, with eggs. 

Start by boiling a cup of chickpeas. While they boil, saute some diced peppers, onions and peppers in a pan with olive oil and seasoning. Mix them until they are cooked but still crunchy. Now add the boiled chickpeas and diced tomatoes into the same pan and mix for 1 to 2 minutes. Take this mixture out in a bowl. Now poach two eggs and place them on top of your chickpea salad. Garnish with some fresh cilantro and serve.

Classic Chili

Electronics have made our life easier. So why not make this chili recipe easier by making it in a microwave?

Take a microwave-safe dish and add butter, minced garlic and all your favorite spices in it. Stir it and microwave for 1 minute. Then add tomatoes, boiled beans and a stock cube. Cover it and microwave for 4 minutes or until you think it is cooked. Remember to stir the chili halfway. Garnish it with cheddar, sour cream or fresh cilantro. 

Enjoy your classic chili with a bowl of rice or tortilla. 

Shrimp Tacos

Shrimps are one of the easiest seafood to cook. And also, very delicious in a taco. So here’s how you cook a shrimp taco. 

First, coat your shrimp with your preferred seasonings like salt, cayenne pepper, black pepper etc. Add some oil in a pan and cook the shrimp until opaque. Take them out on a plate and set aside. Now cook some scallions and boiled beans in the skillet. Do not forget to season it. While they cook, mix some coleslaw with chipotle sauce and spread evenly on a tortilla or hard shell taco. Put the bean mixture and the shrimps on top of the taco. And there you have it. A shrimp taco that took only 15 minutes to make. 

Now every time hunger strikes, you know what to do. All of these recipes are easy enough for anyone to prepare. So gather your ingredients and start cooking.
